John Barrowman, the Doctor Who and Torchwood star, made a brief appearance on the latest series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, leaving just 32 minutes after arriving at base camp. In the opening episode, filmed in New Zealand, Barrowman participated in the first challenge, which involved traversing a 335ft canyon on two steel bars. Shortly after, he became ill and decided to leave the competition.
Barrowman, 56, stated, “I’m out. It’s not for me. I know who I am and what I’m about.” His departure was the fastest in the show’s history.
During the episode, Barrowman also addressed past allegations from 2021, when he was accused of flashing on the sets of Doctor Who and Torchwood. Barrowman explained that while his behavior had been “silly,” it was not meant to harm anyone, and he felt that the media had unfairly portrayed him. “The press made it out that I was a sexual deviant,” he shared.
The sixth series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins features other stars such as Rachel Johnson, Ovie Soko, and Pete Wicks, and airs on Channel 4 every Sunday and Monday at 9pm.
