HBO Opens Casting for New Harry, Ron, and Hermione!

The magical world of Harry Potter is coming back to life, and HBO is searching for the next generation of stars to fill the shoes of Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the upcoming TV adaptation.

If your child is aged between 9 and 11 by April 2025 and lives in the UK or Ireland, this could be their big break!

The casting process is inclusive, open to all races, ethnicities, and gender identities. Producers are looking for children who will bring fresh energy to these iconic roles, originally played by Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson.

How to Audition

Applicants are asked to submit two videos:

1. The first should be a 30-second video where they recite a short poem or story. This can be from a favorite book, play, or even something they’ve written themselves. However, the casting team has a small request: no Harry Potter material.
2. The second is a one-minute video where applicants introduce themselves. This should include personal details like their date of birth, height, and location, as well as a brief description of a family member, friend, or pet they’re close to.

Filming on a phone is perfectly acceptable! Just be sure to speak in your natural accent. These videos provide a chance for applicants to showcase their personality and unique qualities—essential when auditioning for such beloved characters.

The deadline to send in these audition tapes is October 31, 2024, so there’s plenty of time to prepare something special.
